In 1986, in Hollywood, on Sunset Boulevard, two brothers – Larry and Denis Leith – inspired by retro films of the 1940s and 1960s, founded Oliver Peoples. It was Hollywood cinema that inspired the brothers to create a company. They bought a collection of vintage glasses from American manufacturers and opened a store in Hollywood selling them. Thanks to their fine taste and sense of style, Larry and Denis began to easily select glasses for their customers, who always spoke enthusiastically about the brand.

The Oliver Peoples brand, together with the Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli, which debuted on the optics market also in collaboration with Oliver Peoples, presented a new line of sunglasses for the spring-summer 2022 season. The unique sophistication of the frames in this collection is noticeable to the naked eye. They displayed elegance and refined manners. Restraint is one of the main principles of the spring-summer 2022 collection, which is seen in the absence of branded logos and the clarity of the models.

Both brands adhere to the traditions of their homeland: the nature of the Italian countryside, harmony, medieval art, and spirituality Solomeo is the home of Brunello Cucinelli, who from birth nourished his soul with the culture of humanism. Oliver Peoples draws inspiration from sunny California energy, film, music, and fashion. The similarity in approach led to the cooperation of the two companies and the birth of a chic collection of eyewear.

All models are made with acetate details, some are supplemented with metal bridges, and the process of making the collection includes not only work on modern equipment, but also manual labor. The color scheme of glasses and frames was created by the house of Brunello Cucinelli, the main motifs are natural elements and natural shades. This eyewear combines the spirit of sophistication, universal character, and timeless elegance, which are united in a harmonious stylish union.

Talking about cooperation with Cucinelli’s team, Giampiero Tagliaferri, director of Oliver Peoples, noticed that it was impeccable. The creators spoke the same design language as both supported the process of creating something simple yet incredibly special through the use of purposeful materials and intricate details. Particular attention was paid to the search for harmonious forms and palettes, choosing natural shades that emphasize the aesthetics of Brunello Cucinelli. Oliver Peoples, for its part, took care of the most comfortable fit of the glasses.
