Jean Philippe Joly started his way in the optical business in his native Paris in 1999. Since then the designer was deeply interested to invent and create amazing eyewear pieces with extreme obsession to details shaping frames to match the individuality of their wearers.

Thick sheets of acetate with carefully thought-out details, colors carefully selected to each other, perfect combination of shiny and opaque, quality guaranteed by the choice of Mazzucchelli acetate – all this is characteristic for Jean-Philippe Joly collections. This incredibly appealing glasses are all hand-made by small Italian craft companies famous for their long tradition.

Being a passionate lover of generous design, Jean Philippe signs sophisticated and limited series that embody his sensitivity for volume and color harmony, Having an incredibly aesthetic look, paired with maximum comfort, these sunglasses and eyeglasses are expressively cool. This year, the independent designer presents two collaborations that are sure to make an impression. Street Art-style glasses are created in first collaboration with Cyril Kongo, a very popular street artist nicknamed “Mister Colorful”.

Together they imagined the K1 model, available in a limited series of 50 numbered copies and characterized as an accessory worthy of works of art.The second collaboration is between Jean-Philippe Joly and Room n ° 6 which – a Japanese craftsman from Tokyo, who creates recycled accessories from vintage military fabric of the American army. The glasses from limited series are decorated with camouflage patterns and completed with handcrafted cases sewed of a dozen scraps of fabric giving each time a different result.
