Balenciaga is a famous French brand that has existed since the beginning of the past century. The name Balenciaga went down in fashion history precisely because of its founder, Cristobal Balenciaga, who is considered one of the most innovative couturiers of the 20th century.

The House of Balenciaga has always been characterized by fluffy skirts and feminine, yet contemporary, unusual hitherto unseen forms. This is how Balenciaga clothes gained popularity and cult status - babydoll dress and cocoon coat - thanks to such silhouettes, Cristobal made a new look at women in fashion, and his design became a protest of the era, allowing women to dress comfortably and challenge fashionable canons. Balenciaga is also widely known for its avant-garde, sculptural designs that are on the verge of fashion and glimpse the future of womenswear. Balenciaga's vintage clothing is incredibly popular with influential fashion publishers as well as Hollywood stars and top models.

The prominent fashion house Balenciaga is famous for the luxury and chic creations of clothing, accessories and shoes. The founder of the brand, Cristobal Balenciaga, was one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century, whose daring experiments in clothing design revolutionized the approach and understanding of women's fashion forever. He radically changed the female silhouette, introduced into fashion a "square coat", a loose tunic dress, shirt dresses, a baby-doll dress and other innovations - it is not easy to list all the design solutions and finds of a talented and original couturier.
Outfits from Balenciaga were considered Haute Couture, but during the couturier's lifetime the house itself was not part of the Haute Couture Syndicate as the master did not want to obey the guidelines of this Parisian organization.
Balenciaga is also recognizable for its outstanding sunglasses models. The original innovative design of the brand's optics is perfectly combined with refined elegance. The collections of sunglasses and optical frames are classics that form the stem of a basic wardrobe and go with most things.

Balenciaga is an internationally renowned French fashion house founded by Spanish-born designer Cristobal Balenciaga.
Cristobal created his own clothing brand in 1914. 4 years later, he opened his first brand store in San Sebastian. The goal of the designer was to achieve complete perfection in the image. Clothes, which he skillfully cut and sewed, were an overwhelming success. Thus, the couturier was able to open 2 more boutiques.
In 1936, with the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, the designer moved to France, and by opening a boutique in Paris, Cristobal attracted the attention of the main designers of the French scene. For this reason, the Balenciaga brand is considered French. It is said that in order to get an outfit from Balenciaga, women of fashion illegally crossed the borders.

After the war, Cristobal redefined silhouettes in women's clothing, starting to create outfits with broad shoulders and no emphasis on the waist. Daring experiments with clothes were interesting for wealthy buyers, because at that time Balenciaga had a reputation as the most expensive brand. Initially, the brand was mainly engaged in the production of clothing, but over time, collections of shoes, bags, belts, jewelry, sunglasses and many other accessories were also released. In 1968, the fashion house ceased to exist and left the fashion horizon until 1986, from which the brand's revival began which led to its entry into a new position of popularity.

Today Demna Gvasalia holds the post of creative director. In new collections, he tries to adhere to the principles laid down by the founder of the house.
