Being a legendary company, the Lacoste brand was founded by a famed tennis player from France René Lacoste in 1933 in a collaboration with André Gillier who owned a large knitwear manufacturing company. A revolutionary tennis T-shirt became the first product with a famed logo of a green crocodile on the chest. Apart from tennis wearing, the company designed shirts for sailing and golf. In 1963, René’s son Bernard became the head of the company, and in those times, about 300,000 products created by the brand were sold annually. Under Bernard's management, the Lacoste brand got a significant development and growth, offering many new products including shoes, watches, leather goods, and perfume.

The brand became popular among customers and started to manufacture comfortable and stylish clothes, accessories, fragrance, and eyewear for men and women. In 2005, about 50 million products created by Lacoste were sold in more than 110 countries all over the globe. 

In 2005, Bernard got ill, and the precedence of the brand was transferred to Michel Lacoste, the youngest son of René. In 2007, the company introduced its e-commerce website for the USA market where American people could buy fashionable clothes online. During the 2017-2019 years, the brand cooperated closely with the Supreme company to provide a wonderful and high-quality collection of apparel for women and men.
