The basis for the production of Ray-Ban sunglasses was a complaint by the US Air Force Command to Bausch & Lomb in 1929. All this time, the company worked on creating glasses that would protect the eyes of pilots from bright sunlight and would not prevent them from flying at high altitudes.

At the same time, the clarity of the image should remain as high as possible. These were the first glasses released in 1937 under the name "Aviator". They turned out to be so successful that the company decided to organize their serial production. Since the 1960s, Ray-Ban has expanded its line of eyewear, introducing several new styles each year. The color design of the frames was gradually improved and the quality of the lenses became better. It should also be emphasized the brand's commitment to high-quality standards, which Ray-Ban implements by using durable materials and special processing technologies.
